I climbed up to a higher vantage point to capture the grandeur of my subject. The dark shadows bring an intense drama, and her facial expression draws the viewer in to try to figure out what is going on in this moment.
The subject stares off into the distance off the edge causing the viewer to imagine what she might be looking at.
The model is suspended above the air, carefree. Warm light is used to make this action seem less dangerous than it is.

Perfect lighting and placement of the subject gives the viewer a feel of what it was like to be on this boat ride. The bright colors invite the viewers to imagine what lied just ahead.
Through the use of the dying sunset I was able to create a surreal photograph. The shadows make any object not directly in the light really stand out and gives the image a dream-like feel.
Candid pictures don't always go as planned, but they still present a moment in time. I was prepared to capture whatever was thrown at me and I was lucky enough to catch this offering before the moment was gone.
To give the viewers an accurate representation of this act I emphasized their movement through the lower angle at which this photo was taken. To further bring attention to their ritual I withdrew all color from this picture to emphasize their courageous performance.
I used negative space to make myself the only subject in the image. I used subtle lighting and contrast to capture my personality.
